One of the best things of Los Angeles is its easy access to nature and camping locations within a short distance from the city. Just outside of the city, there's a bunch of campsites for you to getaway for the weekend. If you're looking to go camping during the upcoming summer season, check out some of these spots we've gathered!
Malibu Creek Campground
With over 15 miles of trails that run along Malibu Creek, there's a bunch of wilderness for you to explore. Hike up the hillside for beautiful canyon views or take a dip in the large swimming hole. Each campground has a picnic table and a fire pit, and showers and drinking water on premise.
Leo Carrillo State Park
Located right off of the PCH in Malibu, Leo Carrillo has many campsites with easy access to the beach. You can go down to the ocean and explore the tide pools, or go hiking on one of the back trails. Campsite spots here fill up fast, so make sure to book yours before the summer!
Here you'll find glassy lakes and beautiful pine tree right next to your campsite. You can hike, mountain bike, fish, and even rock climb in the San Jacinto mountains. It's the perfect escape from the city without having to go too far.
