With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it's more important than ever to open up conversations about mental health and break the stigma of mental illnesses. Whether it's by sharing our own personal struggles, or donating to non-profits that advocate for awareness, it's important that we do our part.
We're highlighting a few brands that are contributing to mental health advocacy, outreach and awareness efforts. From fashion to lifestyle, these brands are striving to minimize the stigma associated with mental health issues and working to create healthy conversations.
Lifestyle brand and nonprofit organization IDONTMIND sells clothing and accessories that bring to light conversations about mental health. This month, they're highlighting young advocates by hosting a virtual event to raise awareness and inspire conversations. All of their proceeds are donated to MHA, Mental Health America.
Everything from their clothing to home decor, Ban.do sells items that are meant for their customers to be happy and feel their best. For Mental Health Month, Ban.do is focusing on encouraging emotional conversations. Half of their proceeds are donated to the Loveland Foundation, an organization committed to helping communities of color.
